

Lenox “Len” Carlton Ligon was born January 24, 1940 to Lenox and Mary Lou Ligon in Llano County, Texas. He lived in the Texas Hill Country for the past decade and went to be with his Lord on October 3, 2011. Len began his career in the Federal Department of Treasury in his early twenties and then was a successful banker for 30 years. Len was a talented painter and a passionate Christian. He was a dedicated Senior Warden for his church and participated in many other ministries throughout the years. Len loved spending time with his family and friends and being a grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Marilyn McDonald Ligon; his daughter, Laura Leigh Roffmann, her husband Paul, their children, Alexandra Elizabeth and Andrew Joseph of League City; his son, Lee Carlton Ligon, and his wife Jenny of College Station; and numerous cousins. Friends and loved one’s are invited to celebrate Len’s life during a Memorial Service with the Reverend Dr. Charles Thebeau officiating at 11:00 AM Friday, October 7, 2011 at Cross Lutheran Church, 2171 E. Common St., New Braunfels, Texas. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ Our King Anglican Church of New Braunfels, Texas, The American Heart Association, or to the New Braunfels Animal Shelter.
