Marie,

 I've only known you for a short time back in 2014 when our paths crossed at the NYPD crime laboratory. I had just gotten promoted to supervisor and was transferred to the Forensic Investigations Division and assigned to the purchasing unit. You were one of the nicest people I remember from my time at the Lab.

I remember in October 2014 when I received the phone call from my Dad telling me that my Mom had passed away. I ran out of the Lab to the subway to head home when I get another phone call from our boss Nabil Hanna telling me that if I come back to the Lab that they will take me wherever I need to go. 

I came back and Nabil assigned you to drive me and I stated that I wanted to go to the hospital. You drove me to Northwell Health in Manhasset driving the patrol car with one hand and operating the sirens with the other going 100 mph on the highway. This is the only time I have been in a police vehicle with lights and sirens blaring. 

Not only did you get us to the hospital safely you also escorted my Father and I home afterwards to make sure we got home safely after having gone through this tragedy. I will always remember this and never forget it. I will always remember how you not only took me to the hospital on this tragic day in my life but how you showed both my Father and I kindness and sympathy.

Marie, you were a great coworker and friend and I was saddened to hear of your passing yesterday when I was reading the personel orders at work. You will always be my friend and have a special place in my heart ❤️.

Not many people can say they have neighbors like I do. Marie was one of the best! She was the most honest,  thoughtful and giving people I have ever met.  I will miss our front porch conversations with a cigarette,  our crazy street shenanigans and parties, her walking the dog(s) or just walking down the street, and every single holiday when she stopped by to surprise us and the kids with a special gift ❤️ I already miss those moments so much and it will never be the same on Carter ln.  But I am grateful for her family, Vinny, Arianna, Thomas and Christina for always welcoming us into their home to share so many special moments with her even until the very end. Thank you.  Marie,  I love you and know you are now healthy and vibrant in heaven! Until we meet again ❤️

It’s hard to believe that Marie is gone. We first met through our children — a connection born in the midst of school events and everyday routines — but what grew from that was something rare and lasting: a true friendship.

Marie had a warmth that drew people in and a kindness that made you feel instantly at ease. Over the years, we shared so many conversations, laughs, and moments that turned into memories I’ll always treasure. She was a wonderful friend, a devoted mother, and a beautiful soul.

Though her time with us feels far too short, her love and light will live on in all of us who were lucky enough to know her. I’ll miss her deeply, but I’ll carry her memory with me always.

Rest in peace, Marie. Thank you for your friendship Mamma I love you ❤️

I was deeply saddened to hear of Marie’s passing. Marie and I went through the NYPD Police Academy together and carpooled every day from Queens to Manhattan. Over those years, we became more than friends—we became sisters.

We shared so many meaningful memories, especially as young mothers. Our sons, Tommy and Joel, brought us even closer through countless play dates and laughter-filled days. Those moments remain precious in my heart.

As life went on, Marie and I lost touch, and the years quietly slipped by. How I wish I could turn back time and share one more conversation, one more smile.

May Marie rest in peace, and may God comfort all her family and friends as we grieve this immense loss. Her memory will always be a blessing.

Marie was a beautiful and nice soul. Marie and I worked together and I will never forget this one time when I was struggling with an anxiety attack, and Marie came with our other coworker Reuben and talked me down and helped me to feel better. Ever since that day, Marie and I became close friends. There were times when I didn't feel like coming to work, but I knew she would be making her way to work by walking (no matter what type of weather) and I wanted to make sure I could catch her and give her a ride on my way into work as well. Marie will always be in my heart and memory ❤️

During the pandemic, they did the Pledge of Allegiance almost every morning.

Marie was an incredibly special person. She had a way of commanding a room with a genuineness that could cut through any hardship. Even in her toughest moments, she carried herself with a brightness that lifted everyone around her. I’m so thankful to have known her, even if only for a brief time. I will never forget her.

I first want to say to the family and everyone that loves her how sorry I am for your loss! I worked with Marie at Walmart, and although we only worked together a little over a year I felt like it was way longer! She welcomed me to the team right away!! She was so funny! I will miss the talks we would have! We would call each-other for something fast and 3 hours later still be talking about an entire different thing!! I know she fought hard! She will be extremely missed!! Love ya girl!! 💜
