Moving to Llano Texas at an early age and graduating from Llano High School, she then attended college at Southwest Texas State and received a degree in Teaching. Marlin taught school and coached at Three Rivers and George West. She met Harrold McFarland, from Llano, and they married December 26, 1963, moved to New Braunfels and started a family. They had four boys: Wes, #1, Steve, #2, Michael, #3, and “Red” Gregory, #4. While raising a family of boys she would substitute teach and when the nest was empty she taught GED for many years.
She loved all family and friends and was also loved by many. She always had good things to say and would take any friends of the boys in as her own. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, wife and friend.
Marlin was a devoted Christian, faithful in the church, singing in the choir and helping out at many events at the church. She regularly attended Sunday school and also taught Sunday school.
She is proceeded in death by her parents; Marvin and Helen Click, her husband, Harrold McFarland, her brother Billy Click, and grandchild Landon McFarland.
She is survived by her sister Barbara and husband Dan Edwards, sons Wesley and his significant other Leslie Gray, Steve and wife Lorie, Michael and wife Paula and (Red) Gregory and partner Dr. Marsha Anderson; grandchildren Derrick, Taryn and Haleigh McFarland, Megan and Levi Krauss, Emilie Sheppard, Sarah and Jake Hennessy, Stevie McFarland, and Layce McFarland; great grandchildren Delilah McFarland, Liam, Briar and Ezra McFarland, Parker and Layton Krauss.
She was a rock that held friends and family together. She will be deeply missed.
