Martha Olivia grew up as a small-town South Texas girl. She started her education at a Catholic grade school in Falfurrias, attended middle school in Hebbronville, and graduated high school in Alice, Texas in 1967. While attending college at Texas A&I in Kingsville she met her husband, Oscar. Together they embarked on a journey in the Military through many countries around the world. When they finally returned home after a successful military career she traded in her role as military spouse to finish her degree in social work in 2003. Martha graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelors in Social Work.
Martha was a loving mother who devoted her life to her family. She supported her husband as a proud wife of an Army Officer. She raised her two sons to have fulfilling careers in Architecture and the Navy. Her two grandchildren enjoyed having her for many family trips and as a constant source of love and devotion. She extended her love to all and was often the cornerstone of the family. She was a devoted Catholic who shared bible stories to the children in her family and was an active member of her church Parish.
She was the matriarch that held the family together and will be deeply missed.
