Marvin Jurica

Marvin was born in Gonzales, Texas to the late Willie and Mary Pesek Jurica on March 27, 1931. He was raised in the Peach Creek area where he grew up on the farm and attended Kokernot School. Marvin served in the Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He married Mildred Rose Roznovsky on October 14, 1954. Marvin and Mildred owned Parkview Beauty Salon in New Braunfels for over 35 years until their retirement. Marvin was a painter, enjoyed wood working, found joy in gardening and had a passion for hunting. Marvin loved being at the family farm, spending time with his extended family, and never turned down a game of dominoes.

Marvin is preceded in death by his father Willie, his mother Mary, his wife Mildred, and five brothers Felix, Fred, Robert, Herman, and Rudy.

Marvin is survived by his daughter Donna Jo Jurica-Johnson, son Mark Jurica and his wife Amie Jurica, granddaughter Reagan Johnson Parks and her husband Everett Parks, granddaughter Morgan Johnson Schneider and her husband Scott Schneider, granddaughter Abigail Jurica, and granddaughter Lindsay Jurica Welch and her husband Gregory Welch, great-grandchildren Logan Parks, Riley Parks, Wyatt Parks, Sadie Schneider, Beau Schneider, and Harper Schneider.

Pallbearers will be Mark Jurica, Buford Jurica, Ronnie Jurica, Everett Parks, Scott Schneider, and Logan Parks. Honorary pallbearers will be Riley Parks, Wyatt Parks, Sadie Schneider, Beau Schneider, and Harper Schneider.

Visitation will be at 9:00 am followed by the funeral service at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas. Burial will immediately follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Mausoleum. Reception to follow.

Arrangements are under the care of Zoeller Funeral Home. The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hope Hospice of New Braunfels or Meals on Wheels of New Braunfels.
