
Mary Lois (Ferguson) Truitt of Kingsville, Texas passed away June 28, 2013, at the home of her sister in New Braunfels, Texas. She was 90 years old. Ms. Truitt was proceeded in death by her husband Dr. Marcus M. Truitt, Phd.
Ms. Truitt is survived by her sister, Barbara L. (Ferguson) Laurence, and her husband Jesse R. Laurence, former residents of Robstown now living in New Braunfels, her daughter, Elizabeth (Truitt) Burris, and her husband B. W. Burris of McAllen, her son, Marcus R. Truitt, and his wife Tracie Truitt of League City, 4 grandchildren, Julia Burris and Ashly Burris both of McAllen, Austin Truitt of San Diego, California, and Dylan Truitt of League City, one great grand daughter Katlyn Burris of McAllen, and 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
Ms. Truitt was born in Healdton, Oklahoma. She moved to Kingsville, Texas, in 1954, and had been a resident since. Ms. Truitt had a Degree in Psychology. Mary loved to play golf, and bridge. She was a lover of nature and animals, especially cats. She also appreciated the arts and enjoyed painting. Mary enjoyed spending the summers in Colorado and was in route there with her sister when she passed.
Mary was a very kind, caring, and compassionate person, loved by her family and will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be conducted by Reverend Charles Miller on July 14, at 3:00 p.m. at The First Presbyterian Church, Kingsville, Texas, reception to follow.
