Orville J. Cockerham

Orville J. Cockerham, 76, of New Braunfels, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2010 in Seguin, Texas. He was born to William Boyd Cockerham and Sadie (Java) Cockerham on September 1, 1934 in Dairland Township, WI. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and was employed as a Truck Driver for Central Frieght Lines for over 34 years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, gardening, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife Virginia Cockerham of New Braunfels; daughter, Pamela Jameson of Seguin; son, Gary Cockerham and wife Cynthia of Marion; sisters, Dorothy Richter, Shirley Kimes, and Sandra Colee; brothers, Donald Cockerham, Wesley Cockerham and Russell Cockerham; half-brothers, Richard Fredericks and Ronald Fredericks; grandchildren, Andrea Jameson, Ashley Cockerham and Brandon Cockerham; He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers and 1 half sister;

Public visitation will begin 6:00 PM Tuesday at Zoeller Funeral Home with the family present to receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Zoeller Funeral Home with Reverend Tom Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park with Military Honors. Memorial contributions may be given to the Diabetes Association or to the Alzheimer's Association.
