To Rey's Family,
My deepest sympathy for you all. 
It was with great sadness that I heard about Rey's passing today (a week after).
I worked with Rey as part of the HHSC-Purchasing. It was a pleasure to have met him and enjoyed his many stories of people he knew & politics. Though we did not see much of each other at work - we only communicated by phone & saw each other once a year during our annual conferences in Austin. He will be missed. I worked with Rey for approximately 1 yr at HHSC.  He was a good and honorable man, who I bonded with.

It is sad that such a good person has left us.

Rey was a co-worker and friend.  He will be missed. My condolances go out to his family in this time of sorrow.

Rey will be greatly missed. He was a co-worker and a friend--Always cheerful, thoughtful and kind. We would unwind and talk shop at Augie's with the "group", those were great times. We will never forget him and I include him in my prayers every day. To his entire family my condolences and prayers

I met Rey through some friends of the Augie's Group....what a Gentleman he was. Always made us laugh. May God give the family strength to move forward and May he Rest+In+Peace.

Although I didn't know Rey very well, I will always remember his great smile and warm welcome whenever I would invade the "Auggies Nuts" crew. He will be missed but not forgotten.

We deeply regret the loss of such a wonderful and caring person.  Rey will always be remembered by our family for his commitment and loyalto to those he supported and served.

i am sorry for your loss.  rey was a close friend for decades and considered family by my father.  my fathers 33 year political career and success at bringing change to underserved areas of our community was due in part to the endless support and work of rey. in my father's personal journals to me he would write of rey: "rey has been a loyal friend, i will never be able to repay him for what he has done. he has helped for 33 years."

Dear Morales Family:
Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved.  There are never any right words to express how deeply sad I am for the pain your family is enduring at this difficult time.    

Although I did not have the honor and pleasure of knowing him, as Chair of the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs and Military Installations, I am sincerely thankful for his valiant service in defense of our rights and freedom.

His commitment to family, friends, our community, and to serving our great nation leaves a wonderful legacy.  May the love and the wonderful memories you shared with him help you when you need it most. He will never be forgotten, and your family will be remembered in my prayers.
