

Reynaldo "Randy" M. Morales, 66, of New Braunfels, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at the Vitas Hospice in San Antonio. He was born July 24, 1944 to Alberto L. Morales and Santos Medina Morales in New Braunfels, Texas. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War and was actively involved in several veterans’ organizations. He worked many years in the Health Services Dept. for the State of Texas and was also very active in campaigning for South Texas political candidates. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
He is survived by his son, David Morales of San Antonio; daughter, Marla Roberts and husband Haydn of San Antonio; mother, Santos Morales of New Braunfels; brother, Raymond Morales and wife Eva of San Diego, CA; brother, Albert Morales and wife Adelfa of New Braunfels; sister, Sylvia Russell of New Braunfels; sister, Esmeralda Bustos and husband Fernando of New Braunfels; brother, Edward Morales of San Antonio; sister, Minerva Perez and husband George of New Braunfels; former wife, Clara Ramirez of San Antonio; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alberto Morales.
Public visitation will begin 5:00 PM Thursday at the Zoeller Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue Friday morning until 11:00 am when the service departs in procession to the church. Funeral Mass will be held 11:30 AM Friday, August 6, 2010 at the Holy Family Catholic Church with Reverend Ignatius Himawan, MSF – Celebrant. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
