It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Ronald “Ronnie” Wesley Harris on July 15th at 11:32 p.m. Ronnie was born in Beeville, TX, to Eldon Wesley Harris and Barbara Joan Priour Harris on July 10, 1957.
Ron was a loving son, brother, uncle, great-uncle, and friend. He was a talented carpenter and a beautiful artist. He was full of laughter, jokes, and fun nicknames. While Ronnie had no children of his own, his life was full of those he cared about. He loved visiting with, receiving pictures, and hearing all about his nieces and nephews and their children. He followed along closely, always cheering them on in whatever they were doing. Ronnie also had a love for birds of prey, computers, and, of course, the Cowboys.
Ronnie walked closely with the Lord and openly shared his faith with others. While on this earth, he battled conditions and diagnoses that made life challenging, but his faith in Jesus Christ never wavered. We are certain he is walking with Jesus today, whole and healed.
Ronald is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Velma Harris, Lucylle Norvelle and Clyde Priour; his best friend/dog, Chloe; and “The Twins.”
He is survived by his father, Eldon Harris; his mother, Barbara Harris; his sisters, Mitzi Hughes (Charlie) and Lisa Solomon (Mike); his nieces and nephews, Leeah Hughes (Andrew), Lindsey Bromley (Justin), Travis Hughes (Kelsi), Makayla Lineberry, and Ryan Solomon; and his great-nieces and nephews, Kennedy Stensland; Dreyton, Ryker, and Emmalyn Bromley; Cameron Hughes; and Lana Rae Lineberry.
