Ruth Carolyn (Shiller) Bugge

Ruth Carolyn (Shiller) Bugge of McQueeney, Texas passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023 at the age of 91. She was born on February 8, 1932 in Las Cruces, NM to Ivan Shiller and Margaret Grace Moore Shiller.

Ruth grew up in George West, TX. She graduated from Brownsville High School. In 1948 she married Harry Thorne Bugge Jr. in Brownsville. Ruth was a loving wife and mother of five, who lived to be of service to her family and others. In addition to running a hardware store with her family, she was also heavily involved with the boy scouts. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking for her family and friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Harry Thorne Bugge Jr. and son Harry Thorne Bugge III. She is survived by her sons, John Bugge and Ivan David Bugge; daughters, Margaret Bugge Whisenant and Carol Lynne Bugge Langford; 10 grandchildren; and several great and great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

An interment will take place at a later date at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Brownsville, TX. Ruth lived a blessed life and we will all miss her greatly.
