Sandra Jane Larsen, “Sandi”, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, June 16th, 2021. She was born on June 27, 1950 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Lee and Beatrice Alley. She was a graduate of East Troy High School in 1968 and married her high school sweetheart, Dennis in 1970. She traveled the world for 36 years with Dennis and along the way had three children, Dennis, Aaron, and Amanda, and a host of long time Air Force friends that were like family.
Sandi was known as a selfless, caring, and supportive woman who gave of her time and energy freely to others. She was active member of the Cross Lutheran Church and School and led the Deborah Circle for the LWML and helped to organize the prayer and bible study for the circle. She took great pride in actively participating in the Quilters Cottage group, which sends handmade quilts for relief to those in need.
She was a master gardener that specialized in growing roses, which were her favorite plant to cultivate. She was an avid stained glass artist and particularly enjoyed creating angels and crosses to watch over her friends and family, but her most favorite thing to do was tending to her 7 grandchildren. For her, there was no greater joy than spending time with them playing games, taking them to theme parks, and just plain spoiling them.
She was survived by her husband Dennis, sister Bonnie, children Dennis and Amanda, and her 7 grandchildren (Megan, Paige, Ashleigh, Tyler, Zach, Alex, and Madalyn).
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, June 25, 2021, at Cross Lutheran Church and School, 2171 Common Street, New Braunfels, TX 78130 with Pastor Don Fraker and Pastor Mark Harris.
