The kind of memories i have when we all gathered at the park with our kids were babies but every Sunday . But you we the leader of the pack always making us laugh . Or we were all go play pool on Saturday nights or driving around following each others  in the cars . Sam it was great to have gotten to know you all these years ..  Will never forget the good time and fun we all had on Saturday at the park all way at our same parking place just kicking back and listening to some good oldies with all our little group that would hang out..  You will be missed by so many friends and family we had talked about getting the people back together one day but never did .. Still can't believe your gone ..  😥 well my good friend it's not a good bye it's till we meet again ..  I remember every time you would see me and Keta on my motorcycle you would say Herbie do a wheelie 😆 😆 so many memories..

Sammy will forever be impressed in my ❤,  when I would drop his daughter Melinda off at their home, from Day Care he would be outside relaxing, always telling me to take him for a ride in our van, I would kid with him and tell him to take me for a ride in his Malibu, he loved that car, he would just laugh and say " Vamonos", Sammy,  you will forever be missed, we all have some  beautiful memories of you that  we cherish, To Becky and kids, you remain in my prayers, I pray that God  me give you peace and comfort during these times....Margie♥️

Survivors include his wife Becky; daughter, Melinda Ortiz; son Santos Z Ortiz Jr. and wife Veronica; 5 grandsons, Joshua, Pedro, Christian, Levi and 1 granddaughter Cataleya. His sisters Maria Gaytan and Mariana Gonzales; brothers Robert Ortiz and Paul Ortiz, along with numerous nieces and nephews all of New Braunfels, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ruben Ortiz.
