Shawn Michael Blakeslee, 37, of Spring Branch, TX., formerly of Findley Lake, N.Y., died September 17, 2022, as a result of a motorcycle accident in New Braunfels, TX. aised in Findley Lake, he was a graduate of Clymer High School and Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, Pa.
Shawn was part owner of Fitness 360 in Buffalo. He also worked at CoachMePlus, in Buffalo and Momentum Solar in Austin and San Antonio, TX. While living in the Buffalo area, he was a member of the Harris Hill United Methodist Church and also attended The Chapel in Buffalo. When living in Texas he attended various churches while looking for a church home. He served on the board at Camp Findley. Always active, Shawn enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, sky diving, biking and iron man competitions. Shawn had a contagious love for life, his family, his friends and most importantly his God. He had a smile and a personality that was unforgettable.
Shawn is survived by his parents: Donald and Joyce (Herrmann) Blakeslee, of Findley Lake, N.Y., three sisters: Kimberly (Doug) Wasden, of Macon, GA., Patricia “Tricia” (Tim) Ferranto, of Sherman, N.Y., and Lindsey Blakeslee, of Corry, Pa. three nieces: Faith, Elly, and Ava Wasden, of Macon, GA.; two nephews: Jacob and Samuel Ferranto, of Sherman, N.Y.; his paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Blakeslee, of Heritage Park in Jamestown, N.Y.
He is predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Donald E. Blakeslee, Sr. and his maternal grandparents, Richard and Pearl Herrmann. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022, at the Findley Lake United Methodist Church, 2862 North Road, Findley Lake at 2 pm. Pastor David Cooke, officiating.
