To the Helfferich family and loved ones; my heart goes out to you during this difficult time.  MSG Dawber really looked out for the soldiers.  I was lucky enough to have been one of her soldiers, when she was the UA for the 1st LOD. She was a happy and very generous person that always had a smile on her face. I remember one time when I was doing Annual Training at the Reserve Center; she told me about Mobilizations; which I did not know about.  She helped me to assemble the mobilization packet and submit it. I was able to mobilize thanks to her. This just shows how MSG Dawber is always looking out for her soldier's.  She will surely be missed.  God has surely welcomed home one of his angels. MSG Dawber will always be smiling and watching over her loved ones.

Our condolences to the family. She will be missed but will always live in our hearts and thoughts. She was a great woman and an inspiration to all soldiers she came in contact with and mentored. I know that God has welcomed home one of his angels. She will continue to smile down upon her family and loved ones.

I loved her like a sister. Please accept my condolences. Timmy, you and your family are in our thoughts. I am are here for you.  Call when you need me . I will miss "Shirley . She will always be in are in our hearts.  My thoughts and prayers are with you knowing she cannot be replaced in your life. Her smile surely lite up a room along with her infectious  laugh.  You have my deepest sympathy.  If there is anything I can do, let me know. She was a hell of a woman with all her knowledge and wit.

I was privileged to serve as the Commander of the 22nd LSO (TDS) and Shirley was my Unit Administrator.  She was the go-to person for all 134 Soldiers assigned to the unit and handled the myriad of administrator duties with ease and aplomb.  She was an accomplished paralegal and when mobilized to Fort Hood during the early days of the war, put the magical "Shirley touch" on the TDS offices there.  Shirley worked hard, played hard, and with Timmy, lived life to its fullest.  She will certainly be missed.

A woman of many talents,a friend so true.  She will be missed by all who knew her. Timmy,wish I could be there, but you know why I can't. The many fun times we had,I will remember always.

Shirley was a wonderful lady. She welcomed me with open arms. And was family.  I will miss her greatly. She accepted our sister Kathy for who she was. And Kathy knew she did. Kathy loved when Tim would call and she would get to talk to Shirley too.  Shirley saw Kathy as a person, not someone with disabilities. I can still hear the two of them laughing and loving there time together.  
May you all find comfort knowing she is no longer suffering. And we will see her again. In loving memory

There is a position here that can't be filled. Too young and too important to us all.  I will truly miss my friend and colleague. Tim I can't be there but I know that you will not be alone. Your family is and will be there for you and the family.I know she is doing what she does best,  helping those in need. As one of the originals and longest members of the 22nd, besides Shirley we care and are here to help.  We will see her again, but not yet, not yet.

Shirley will be missed by a lot of folks, us included.  A remarkable NCO, and a true right arm to me and all of the Soldiers she served.   Timmy, you're in our thoughts and prayers--and if there is anything we can do, please do not hesitate to call.
