Shirley A. Wymer

Shirley Ann Wymer, 62, of New Braunfels, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at her residence. She was born February 28, 1948 to Weldon and Cynthia (Wilkenson) Nance in New Braunfels. She graduated from Canyon High School Class of 1966. She married Bruce Wymer, Jr. in New Braunfels and together they owned and operated Bruce’s Tractor Service Company and B & W Dozer Services. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, gardening and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Wymer, Jr. of New Braunfels; son, John Wymer and wife Brenda of San Antonio; daughter, Amber Strainer and husband John of New Braunfels; father, Weldon Nance of New Braunfels; sisters, Patricia Smith and husband James of San Antonio and Katherine Willett and husband Paul of San Antonio; grandchildren, Krystal Armstrong and husband Danny, Clayton Wymer, Jerry Strainer, Justin Strainer, Emily Wymer and Ryan Wymer; she was preceded in death by her mother, Cynthia Nance and son, Barry Gene Wymer.

Public visitation will begin 5:00 PM Thursday at Zoeller Funeral Home with the family present to receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, August 13, 2010 at the Zoeller Funeral Home with Reverend Wilburn Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or to Hope Hospice.
