Steven Ray Morgan

Steven Ray Morgan, age 60, passed away in his home on July 24th, 2013, after a 5- year battle with prostate cancer. Steven, or Steve as his loved ones called him, was born on June 16th, 1953 in Pampa, Texas. He was the son of the late Richard Ray Morgan and Lena Jean Miller.

Steve was a trainer for CMC Steel in Seguin, TX for 13 years, and previously held a position at ARMCO Steel, later named Sheffield Steel, in Sand Springs, OK. He was a former youth bowling coach at Fiesta Lanes, a Texas A&M alumnus, a follower of Christ, and a proud fan of the Vanderbilt Bowling Team.

Steve is survived by his wife, Elaine Sherrell Morgan of New Braunfels, TX, his daughter Courtney Morgan of Nashville, TN, his brother Timothy Morgan of Pheonix, AZ, his stepmother Maxine Morgan, and stepbrother Steve Buchanan both of Benbrook, TX.

Steve’s funeral service will be held at the Sherrellville Church in Oark, AR on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the Sherrellville Cemetery.
