Thomas Edward Hardy Sr.

Thomas (Tom) Edward Hardy, beloved husband, father, grand-father and uncle passed away on Sunday, October, 26, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Cecilia D. (Kmieciak) Hardy, sons, Michael (Joyce), Thomas (Marie), James D. (Deborah); daughter, Cathy (Robert); and sister Mary Lou. Tom and Cecilia were both born in LaSalle, IL. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Vincent, his mother, Wilma Marie; brothers, William, Robert; sister, Leona; and his much loved grandson, Jonathon.

Tom was a grandfather to eight and great grandfather to fourteen, all of whom he greatly loved. They called him Jaji. Tom also loved his neighbor Becky and her children like family. Tom spent his career as a plant manager in the automotive industry traveling to various countries overseas before retiring from United Technologies, Juarez, Mexico. Tom and his wife moved to New Braunfels in 1994 where he spent many years, rafting, tubing, fishing and enjoying his 4th degree membership in the Knights of Columbus and the fellowship on Wednesday afternoons.

He looked forward each year to dancing the polka at the Wurstfest and eating the best foods the Wurstfest had to offer. He particularly liked the "brown" beer.

A Rosary service will be held Thursday Oct, 30th at 7:00 PM at Zoeller Funeral Home. Funeral Mass to will be held on Friday, October 31, 2014 at 1:00 PM at St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church. Services will conclude at the church. Friends and family are invited to visit the Zoeller Funeral Home website for a video of pictures of Tom.
