Vera Alice Thekla Haecker

Funeral arrangements are complete at the Zoeller Funeral Home for Vera Alice Thekla Moeller Haecker, who passed away on Friday in New Braunfels, Texas, at the age of 85. Mrs. Haecker was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary, a lifetime member of the Comal County Aggie Moms Club and a member of First Protestant Church. She was a lifetime supporter of the Comal County Junior Livestock Show and always kept up with the activities and accomplishments of the youth in the area. She was a member of the New Braunfels High School Class of 1942 and always enjoyed the monthly lunches with her friends.

She is survived by her children, Janice and Dean Sandmire of Garden Ridge, Texas, Vernell and Frank Adams of Spring Branch, Texas, Nina and Don Walther of New Braunfels, Rita Hitzfelder of New Braunfels, Ken and Vicky Haecker of New Braunfels, Mark and Leah Haecker of Carthage, Texas, and Sandra and Ray Pfeuffer of Christoval, Texas; sister Lorene Damerau of Marion, Texas, brother Eugene Moeller of New Braunfels; grandchildren Chris and Krista Adams, Scott Adams, Jaime and David Biesenbach, Erica Walther, Natalie Walther and fiancé John Tarpoff II, Brittney Hitzfelder, Michelle and Rocky Chapa, Kameron Haecker, Bailey Haecker, Emma Haecker; Jody Pfeuffer, Jesse Pfeuffer, Jillian Pfeuffer, Jake Pfeuffer; and great grandchildren Baylee Adams, Aubree Adams, Trinity Chapa, Lilly Chapa, and Bryn Biesenbach; also numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Victor C. W. Haecker.

Visitation will be 5-9 pm Monday, 22 March. The family will be present from 5-7 pm Monday to greet friends. Services will be Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at 2pm at the Zoeller Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Schumannsville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Schumannsville Cemetery Association.
