Cheryl Linn DiBattista

Cheryl Linn DiBattista, 66, wife of Lawrence DiBattista passed away peacefully on Monday, May 19, 2025. She was born June 24, 1958 in New Britain, a daughter of the late Joseph S. and Shirley (Carlson) Bonczek Jr. She graduated from New Britain High School and was a machine operator/inspector for Stanley Works until her passing. She had several jobs over the years including United Bakery, People Savings Bank, Premier Portraits and Marathon Pizza. Her greatest highlight of her day was her grandson, Cody, and the many adventures they would go on. Cheryl loved diamond painting, ceramics, coloring, synchronized swimming where she was also a coach and was a Brownie leader when Krystle was younger.

In addition to her husband Lawrence of 40 years she is survived by her loving daughter Krystle Bassett and husband Charles Bassett III of New Britain, her grandson Cody whom she spoiled, brother-in-law; Lenny DiBattista, nieces; Kimberly DiBattista and significant other Robert Laraia, and Jennifer Carta and husband Joey. She also leaves her goddaughter; Lisalee Slaughter and her husband Ronnie, her beloved dog Tucker and cats Hailey & Dunkin. Cheryl was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Lena DiBattista, and her sister-in-law, Kim DiBattista.

A Celebration of Cheryl's life will be on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 2-6pm at New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT.
