Edward Dziedzic

Edward was born on March 14,1938 in Rybotycze Poland to Franciszek and Maria Dziedzic. He was the beloved husband of Halina (Koziorynska) Dziedzic and the cherished Father of four children whom he adored.

Edward moved to the United States in 1965 and became a resident of New Britain. Soon after immigrating, he worked for the Fafnir Bearing Manufacturing Company where he dedicated twenty years as a machinist. He later retired from Colt Manufacturing after ten years.

Edward was an active member of Sacred Heart Church where each of his four children attended school. He loved all animals, especially the family pets throughout the years. Edward loved to walk at Stanley Quarter Park and feed the ducks with his grandchildren. He and his wife Halina enjoyed cooking traditional Polish meals to share with their family & friends. He enjoyed spending time outside and will be remembered as the guy with the perfectly manicured lawn & garden filled with delicious vegetables & beautiful flowers.

Edward is survived by his wife Halina Dziedzic of fifty-six years; sons Waldemar Dziedzic of New Britain & Andrew Dziedzic and his wife Irene of Cromwell; daughters; Eva Bonenfant and her husband Brian of Southington & Dorothy Dziedzic of Fairfield CT; grandchildren include Andrew Dziedzic, Cali Bonenfant, Jacob Bonenfant, Joshua Bonenfant and several nieces, nephews & extended family in New Jersey & Poland. He was predeceased by his brothers Adam (Henryka) Dziedzic & Zbigniew Dziedzic and his sister Elizabeth Fil.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 4 until 6:30 pm at New Britain Memorial Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT 06053. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St., New Britain. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 662 Burritt St., New Britain.
