Eric Peter Spalter

Eric Peter Spalter,Sr. Age 73 of New Britain, CT passed away on Tuesday October 5 2021 at NBGH after a brief illness with family by his side. Eric “Pete” Spalter was born on December 8, 1947 in Stuttgart, Germany, to the late Samuel Spalter and Charlotte Steiner Spalter before settling in New Britain.

He Graduated from New Britain High School.

Pete was a small business owner for 35 plus years at Spalter’s TV in New Britain. Later he went on to work for various tech companies as an electronic technician and technical consultant, one of which being HB Communications in North Haven, CT for 20 years.

He was also a lifetime member of the New Britain Elks Lodge 957 where he spent much time with family and friends, and enjoyed weekends at the Westbrook Elks Lodge.

He has two children from his marriage to the late, Christine Roberts Spalter. His son, Eric P. Spalter, II of Lexington, South Carolina, and daughter, Sarah Spalter Chavez of Surprise, Arizona. He leaves behind Anna Stevens whom he had spent many years with by his side. He also survived by and will be dearly missed by his daughter-in-law, Shannon Spalter, and his son-in-law, Juan Chavez; and his grandchildren: Analicia, Kyhia, Samuel and Issaha and his wife Analicia and his great grandson Xavier; also grandchildren: Alyssa and Tyler; and brothers: Marcus and Hans; and sister Rebecca and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours for Eric will be held Monday, October 11, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sargarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain, Connecticut 06053. A brief gathering prior before service will occur Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 10:30 AM, 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain, Connecticut 06053. A funeral home prayer service will occur Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM, 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain, Connecticut 06053. A burial will occur Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 11:45 AM at Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley St, New Britain, Connecticut 06051.
