

Eva D’Amore, 79, wife of the late Dante D’Amore, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. She was born on December 8, 1945, in Rosciano, Pescara, Italy, the daughter of the late Antonio and Dea (Iacobucci) Filippone.
Until her retirement, Eva worked for Stanley Black & Decker in New Britain. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Ann Church and a devoted grandmother who cherished every moment with her grandchildren. She was a familiar face at Dante’s baseball games and found joy in her gardening. Her homemade pasta and sauce will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Eva is survived by her daughter, Belinda (Anthony) LoPresti of New York, and her son, Antonio (Maria) D’Amore of Southington. She leaves behind four cherished grandchildren: Alexander LoPresti, Bianca D’Amore and her fiancé Domenic Coppola, Eva LoPresti, and Dante D’Amore. She is also survived by her beloved niece, Anna Rita Romasco of Italy, as well as two sisters-in-law, Carina D’Amore of New Britain and Marie D’Amore of Berlin, along with many local beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Giuseppe Filippone in Italy.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Sunday, February 23, from 2:00 – 6:00 PM at New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24, at 8:30 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Church, 461 Alling St., Berlin, CT. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in New Britain.
