Born in Czerwonka, Poland, Genowefa carried a deep pride in her Polish heritage, culture, and traditions throughout her life. In 1982, she emigrated to the United States, where she built a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work. She lived in Newington, Connecticut for many years before moving to Orlando, Florida in 2021.
Genowefa was an active member of Sacred Heart Church, where she found comfort and community through her faith. She also took great pride in her strong work ethic, spending many years as a machine operator—first with Winslow Automatics and later completing her career at EDCO Engineering.
Above all, Genowefa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her beloved husband, Kazimierz Lewicki. They celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary in August of this year. She is also survived by her son, Jerry Lewicki and his significant other, Michele Baker of Gainesville, Florida; her son, Thomas Lewicki and his wife, Renee Lewicki of Plainville, CT; and her daughter Agnes Lewicki and her husband Matthew Ruggiero of Casselberry, Florida. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Thomas Lewicki, Kayla Lewicki, David Hart, Bryce Lewicki, Michael Lewicki, Conner Lewicki and William Ruggiero.
Genowefa is also survived by three sisters and one brother in Poland, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins both in Poland and here in the United States.
Genowefa especially loved being “Babcia” to all of her grandchildren, and nothing brought her more joy than being surrounded by her family. Sharing meals together—especially her cooking—filled her with happiness and made her smile in the way everyone who knew her will always remember.
Genowefa Lewicki will be deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to know and love her, and her memory will live on through the family and friends she cherished so dearly.
