

Born in New Britain he was son to the late Walter and Rose (Rurka) Archacki. Henry was a parishioner of St. Jerome Church, Sacred Heart Church and had proudly served in the U.S.Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a past president of Sacred Heart Holy Name Society and it's Parent-Teacher organization and involved with both parish councils. He retired from Fafnir Bearing where he was a steward and Forman and has also worked at Buswell Metal Products and H.L. Moore Medical. In his earlier days Henry enjoyed his time assisting his father at his barber shop on Grove St. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, UConn Huskies Basketball -dating back to the days of 'The Old Field House'. He was equally happy with a fishing pole or in the garden and he made sure that Betty 'the Boss' always enjoyed fresh cut flowers. He was a kind and gentle man, quick with a smile that lit his blue eyes. Henry enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and lunches with his brother and sisters-in-law.
Henry is survived and will be dearly missed by his son: Michael Archacki and wife Mae of New Hartford,his four daughters, Elaine Magrey and husband Brad of Southington, Susan Resnik of Florida, Nancy Jones and husband William of Southington and Melissa Roback and husband Michael Manson of California, sisters-in-law, Agnes Archacki of Florida and Sophie Archacki of New Britain, his ten precious grandchildren: Erica and Aaron Magrey, Rebecca and Joseph Resnik, Victoria, Devon, Alexander and Samantha Jones and Emily and Mae Archacki, a great grand daughter, Hayden Magrey and several nieces and nephews. Henry was also predeceased by three brothers: Stanley, Walter and Chester Archacki and two sisters: Pauline Kaszczuk and Mary Swift, a son-in-law: Paul Resnik.
Funeral services will begin Monday, August 13, 2012 at 9:00am from New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain, followed by the funeral liturgy at 10:00am in St. Jerome Church, including Full Military Honors. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Visitation hours will be held Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012 from 4-7pm at the funeral home.
