

Janina (Dabrowska) Lenczewski, 97, beloved wife for nearly 73 years of Wladyslaw Lenczewski, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. Born in Poland, she was the daughter of late Wladyslawa and Stanislaw Dabrowski. In 1966 she emigrated with her family to New Britain, immediately going to work at Atlantic Tool Machine and subsequently retiring from Emhart Corp. Janina was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church as well as a member of its Ladies Guild. Besides her husband Wladyslaw she is survived by her three children, their spouses and grandchildren. Donna (Robert) Riccini of Newington, Jerry (Halina) Lenczewski of Bristol, Jan (Anna) Lenczewski of New Britain. Her grandchildren who brought much joy to her life, Mark (Heather) Riccini, Gary (Chris) Riccini, Diana (Bill) Suchecki, Matthew, Stephen, Magdalena, and Anthony Lenczewski and great-grandchildren Nico and Luca Riccini. She is also survived by her niece Iwona (Zbyszek) Sadowski, her brother-in-law Edward Czapla, sister-in-law Filomena Dabrowska, as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Poland. Janina was predeceased by her siblings John, Jadwiga, Leokadia, Wladyslawa, Stanislaw, Anna, Henryka, Eugenia, Irena, and Piotr, her grandson Christopher Lenczewski and her great-grandson Braeden Riccini. Janina’s family would like to extend their gratitude to Krystyna who cared for her and allowed her to remain in the comfort of her own home. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 8 am to 9:30 am at New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad Street, New Britain.
