Julie M. DeSalvatore (age 96) of New Britain, beloved wife of Lawrence E. DeSalvatore, died Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Julie was born to Julia (Negrelli) and Joseph Donatoni on August 05, 1928, in Middletown, CT. Julie attended grammar school in Higganum, CT and graduated from Deep River High School in 1946. Julie graduated from Teachers College of Connecticut in 1950 with a BS in business education and later earned an MA in business education from CCSU. Julie taught at Norwalk High School, Woodrow Wilson High School in Middletown, Moody’s Secretarial School and St. Thomas Aquinas High School in New Britain.
Julie is survived by a son, Lawrence Jr. (PhD) and wife Amy of Fairhaven, MA, a daughter, Laurie and her husband Joseph Kolosky of Torrington, and daughter, Lisa and her husband Nicholas Sabetta of Bolivia, NC. Julie also leaves grandsons Matthew, Justin, and Kevin Kolosky. The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to the staff of Keystone Place at Newbury Brook in Torrington where Julie lived, and to the staff at Accent Care who provided hospice care.
Memorial services will be held at New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home on Friday, June 13th at 11am. Burial will be private and will take place at the family’s convenience.
