Karen Pelegrino, 61, passed away on September 24, 2021. Her daughter, Nicole, and sister-in-law, Joyce, were by her side, when she peacefully returned home. Karen was born to Teresa and Albert Russell on October 30, 1959. Karen was the middle child, of three children. Karen was a hairdresser for approximately 43 years, and thoroughly enjoyed her profession and all the staff and clients she came to know. Those people became like family to her. Karen loved arts and crafts, and loved to redecorate rooms in her house, with her daughter. Karen loved her cat Lucy, and was a huge animal lover. She was passionate about donating to no-kill shelters or any kind of fund to help or save an animal. Karen also loved to read: magazines, books, anything really, but her favorites were Stephen King and James Patterson. Karen loved her group of friends (Joyce, Gail, Donna) and were so thankful for them throughout her journey in recovery and throughout her illness. Karen was loved by everyone who met her, and her kindness, beauty, and love filled any room she entered. As we let Karen go, we are reminded that she is reunited with our first house cat, Gracie, in heaven.
