Lori J. Bacon

On March 4, 2023, our hearts were broken as we mourned the loss of our beloved sister Lori Jean (Weksner) Bacon age 68 of New Britain, CT. Lori was born in New Britain where she spent most of her life. After graduation from New Britain High School, she attended the National Academy of Hairdressing, New Britain. She received her certificate in Culinary Arts from E.C. Goodwin Technical School, New Britain. Lori loved cooking, growing vegetable gardens, sunning in the family pool, barbequing, but most of all filling her sweet tooth with delicious desserts. The one constant was her love for reminiscing and laughing about many funny family happenings. Her big heart and warm smile will be dearly missed by her family and those she impacted throughout her life.

Lori was predeceased by her husband David Bacon, parents Edward and Bernice (Cayer) Weksner, sister Barbara (Weksner) Delaney, and nephew Michael Weksner.

She is also survived by her brother Edward Weksner Jr. & spouse Diane (Perzan) of Lunenburg, MA. Sisters; Marianne (Weksner) Dobkin & Spouse Cary of Southington, CT, Sandy (Weksner) Slater & spouse James of New Britain, CT and brother-in-law Michael Delaney of New Britain, CT.

Lori also leaves behind several cherished nieces and nephews, Chris Nightingale (Wendy), Jason Weksner (Rebecca), Courtney Martin (Jean Paul), Jonathan Delaney (Tiffany), Nicholas Delaney (Melinda), Jeremy Delaney (Kara), Bethany Delaney (Rob) and Lauren Slater (Simone) as well as many great-nieces and nephews.

Family and close friends are welcomed to join us for a celebration of Lori’s life on Saturday April 15, 2023, 10AM-12PM at the New Britain Memorial-Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA You Can Help Save Animals Today! | ASPCA , a charity dear to Lori’s heart.
