It broke our hearts that you were taken so unexpectedly. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure!
On December 10, 2020, Marc Anthony Glover departed this life. Marc was the son of Anita Glover-Vann (deceased) and Clinton B Vann Jr. Marc was educated in New Britain Public Schools. He furthered his education at The University of Hartford, with a concentration in Criminal Justice. As life happens there are disappointments and failures. Not allowing his shortcomings to become obstacles, he, instead, developed a creative, loving and happy life. He was a passionate guy who made his dreams and aspirations a reality. Marc was employed at Hartford Hospital laundry services, a dedicated hard worker. He worked for UPS and within a few months was promoted to supervisor. He realized he had a talent to cut hair so he developed those skills and became a licensed top-notch Barber known as “Sharp Marc”. He was called Sharp Marc by his friends and clients because of his exemplary barbering skills and fashion style. Whenever you saw Marc he was neat, well-groomed and “Sharp” from head to toe - tennis shoes, shirts and caps always well -coordinated for any occasion. He was a member of the Fearless Joker’s Biker Club where he enjoyed riding his Suzuki motorcycle across country which satisfied his adventurous appetite. He was an avid Baltimore Ravens’ fan, sporting his team’s attire. (He loved that Purple and Gold but his favorite color was red) Marc was committed to going to the gym weekly, developing a rigorous exercise routine that kept him fit as a fiddle. He had such a zest for life.
To know Marc was to love him unconditionally. He was a guy who enjoyed life and was living his best life. When Marc entered a room, his infectious smile and winning personality lit up the entire venue. A devoted and dedicated son, spending his only day off (which was Sundays) with his kids and mom who did not drive, taking her grocery shopping and anywhere she directed him to take her, he was her Golden Boy and she affectionately called him “Funky Man”. Committed to assisting his father after his mother’s death by moving back to the family home with his father and niece Jasmine to make sure they were taken care of (WHAT A SON)! His sister Sheryl could not have asked for a better brother and best friend. They were two siblings who were raised to look after one another and they definitely had each other’s back.
One of Marc’s greatest accomplishments, he was a loving and dedicated father, to his daughter Mya and Son Kaiel, taking them shopping, out to eat or just hanging out teaching them various life lessons. His nieces and nephew affectionately called him just “Uncle”. Marc was the best nephew any Aunt or Uncle could want, affectionate, kind and considerate. Marc did not have any brothers but he developed a meaningful and close relationship with devoted friends that were like brothers, Derrick Mitchell (wife, Kate) and Marvin Escalera (wife, Elizabeth) who Marc lived with, his second family. He was Godfather to Marvin Escalera, Jr. and uncle to all his closest friends’ kids.
Marc leaves a legacy of love and compassion. His loving memories shall remain in the hearts of his proud father, Clinton B Vann Jr, loving children, daughter, Mya and son, Kaiel, devoted sister, Sheryl, brother-in-law, Sean Riley, nieces, Jasmine, Kennedy, Skylar and nephew, Sean Riley Jr, devoted Aunts, Gloria, Joyce (husband Travis), and Diane, Loving Aunts and Uncles, Rosa, Brenda (husband Robert), Angela (husband, Ronald) and Stephanie, Roger (wife, Carrie) and Stephen (wife, Madelyn) a host of cousins, dedicated friends, Derrick and Marvin and a host of other relatives and friends.
