

Maria (Gladys) Roziecki, 84, widow of Zygmunt Roziecki, of New Britain, passed away on Wed. Dec. 11, 2013 at the Hospital of Central CT after a brief illness. Maria was born in Paris, France on Christmas day in 1928 and was a daughter to the late Jozef and Franciszka (Skiba) Gladys, with whom she lived with in Poland until immigrating to the United States in 1966. She retired as an employee of Textron in 1993 and was an active parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in New Britain. Maria loved to travel, especially when it included spending time with her family and friends. She will be most remembered for her strength, courage and devotion as a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her son and three daughters’: Teddy Roziecki and his wife Rozia of New Britain, Vivian Danielewski of New Britain, Halina Bielecki and her husband Andrew of New Britain and Mimi Marcisz with her husband Ted of Farmington. Maria’s memories will also be treasured this holiday season by her seven grandchildren: Greg Danielewski, Joanne Murphy, Elise Muisener, Mark Bielecki, Jessica Ulinski, Carol and David Roziecki; and her twelve precious great grandchildren. Maria’s family would like to thank the hospital staff for all of their care and support during this difficult time.
Funeral services will begin Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013 at 8:30am at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain followed by the funeral liturgy at 9:30am in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
