Marian, the son of Jan and Bronislawa Bucala, was born in Poland and survived internment in block 11, the death block, at the Auschwitz Nazi concentration camp during World War II. After the war, he immigrated to England and graduated from London’s Imerial College in Aeronautical Engineering. Marian then moved to the United States, where he settled in New Britain, CT and was employed by Gros-Ite Industries until his retirement.
He is survived by his loving wife, Stanislawa, of 67 years, their two children, Barbara and Richard, and two grandchildren, Nicole and Paul.
