She was born on February 2, 1945, in Grodzisk, Poland, to Stefan and Stanislawa Nowakowski. From a young age, Marianna showed a caring and nurturing spirit—loving to look after her siblings and reciting poems for her church. In 1966, she immigrated to the United States with her beloved husband, Janusz, beginning a new chapter centered on family, faith, and love.
Marianna retired after many years of dedicated work at Hamilton Standard, but her greatest role and lifelong dedication was to her family. She raised two wonderful children and spent countless cherished hours caring for her grandchildren. Marianna loved staying connected with her many friends and extended family and was a trusted confidant to those around her.
She especially enjoyed vacations to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and family trips to Sebastian, Florida. Marianna was known for her quick wit, sharp humor, inner strength, and unwavering love for her family. She found great joy in cooking and hosting family gatherings. Her infectious laugh and gentle nature filled every room she entered. Above all, she demonstrated unwavering love and devotion to her husband, Janusz, and her family.
Marianna was a devout member of Holy Cross Church in New Britian, Connecticut where she found comfort, strength, and peace in her faith.
She is survived by her husband, Janusz Dzierzbinski; her sister, Anna Nowakowska of Warsaw, Poland; her brother, Tadeusz Nowakowski and family of Siedlce, Poland; her daughter, Margaret, and son-in-law Steven Myska of Bristol, Connecticut; and her grandchildren: Gabrielle Myska and Zachary Madore of New Britain, Connecticut; Daniel Myska and Megan Varley of East Hampton, Connecticut; and Steven Dzierzbinski and Gary Price of Gate City, Virginia. She is also survived by her brother-in law and sisters-in-law, godchildren, nieces, nephews, and many extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Thaddeus Dzierzbinski of Bristol, Connecticut; her parents; her in-laws; her niece, Beatrice Saverse of Sebastian, Florida; and her great-nephew, Joseph Nemits of Sebastian, Florida.
Marianna was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She shared her heritage with pride, and when it was dark, she carried the sun. Her heart was always on display, especially in every pierogi she lovingly made.
