Michael D. Plourde

Michael D. Plourde, 52, of New Britain, passed away unexpectedly, on Saturday, April 24, 2010. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Wilfrid Plourde and is the beloved son of Rena (Dumais) and Roger Pelletier of Maine. Michael attended local schools and was employed by Effie’s Place in West Hartford.

A loving and devoted son, brother, uncle and nephew; in addition to his parents, he will be greatly missed by, his lifelong friend of twenty years, Phillippe Ouellette of New Britain, his siblings; Debra Plourde of Old Lyme and her son Jesse Celeste, Joseph Plourde of Newington and daughters, Deidra and Melissa, Daniel Michaud and his wife Francine of Bristol and daughters: Chrystal, Ashley, Danielle, Cynthia and Melanie and Janet Ferrucci of Nevada and daughters, Danielle and Sierra. He also leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins, including his special Aunt Theresa Voisine and Aunt Betty, Tom and Todd, many relatives and family of Phillippe Ouellette and his four loving dogs.

Funeral Services will begin Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 8:45am from the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain followed by the Celebration of Life Service at 10:00am in United Methodist Church, West Hartford. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2010 from 4-8pm at the funeral home. (directions: I-84, right off exit #37, 1 ½ miles on right).
