

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved Father, Rheal J. Albert, of Southington, CT. Rheal Albert,92, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Hartford Hospital after a brief illness. Born in St. Hilaire, New Brunswick, Canada on July 22,1932, the son of the late George and Emma Albert. Rheal was the beloved husband of the late Anne Marie (Bouchard) Albert. He was a proud potato farmer in Aroostook County, Maine, prior to moving to Connecticut in the early 1960’s. He was employed for TRW Marlin Rockwell in Plainville for many years. Once the factory closed, he worked for The State of Connecticut, CCSU, till his retirement. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a son, David Albert, and a son-in-law, Michael Pelletier; four sisters; and two brothers. Rheal is survived by his son, Danny
Albert and wife Violet of Colchester; two daughters, Sharon Pelletier of Southington and Susan Albert of New Britain; and granddaughter, Daniela Albert of Colchester; his only surviving brother, Clifford Albert of Quebec, Canada; several loving cousins; and many loving and caring nieces and nephews; along with so many friends. Dad loved to laugh, tell stories, and was an avid fan of the UCONN Basketball teams, and Boston Red Sox. He attended several Final Four Women’s Basketball Tournaments throughout the country. He loved to dance which was one of his passions.
Calling Hours will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 8:30-10AM at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 10:30AM at St Jerome Church 1010 Slater Rd New Britain. Burial will immediately follow at St Mary Cemetery 1141 Stanley St New Britain.
