Richard M. Walas, 52, of New Britain, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Sept. 12, 2011. Richard was born in Germany and was the beloved son of Regina (Prejs) Walas of Plainville and the late Joseph Walas.
He is also survived by his son, Richard Walas II of New Britain, his brothers; Chester Walas and his wife, Julia of Burlington, Stanley Walas and his wife Natalie of Amston, his sister, Krystyna Cefaratti and her husband Philip of Terryville and brother Jozef Walas and his wife, Elizabeth of New Britain, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours will be held Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011 from 5-7pm at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain. His funeral services the following day, Sept. 16, 2011 will begin at 9:30am at the funeral home followed by his funeral liturgy at 11am in Sacred Heart Church.
