

Robert Jack Carbonell, 64, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 24, 2026. He was born on September 5, 1961, a son of the late Joseph and Gloria (Mora) Carbonell. Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and later with the National Guard for over 20 years. He enjoyed being an aerospace sales representative for Anoison Corp. until the time of his passing.
Robert was deeply committed to giving back to his community. He enjoyed volunteering with the American Red Cross, the Newington VA,Shepard Meadows Equestrian Center, and at local voting polls along with many others.
He was a member of the Spanish American Cultural Club, the Civil Air Patrol, the American Legion, and the Humane Society. Robert enjoyed his Spanish heritage, traveling to Spain, and listening to Frank Sinatra while making paella.
Robert enjoyed riding his Harley, going to concerts, cultivating house plants,and enjoyed cooking, which he was very good at.
Robert is survived by three children: his daughter, Megan Carbonell of Bristol; his son, Cody Carbonell and his fiancée, Madison Albright, of Bristol; and his son, Ryan Carbonell of Florida; three brothers: Joseph Carbonell and his wife Gail Cavanaugh Carbonell of East Hampton, Richard Carbonell of Long Island, and George Carbonell and his wife Margarida Carbonell of Bristol; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Family and friends may visit with the family on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 3–7 p.m. at the New Britain Memorial–Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 9–10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Celebration of Life service and Military Honors at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
