Bob worked at Smalley School in New Britain and Modnadock Regional School District in NH. Received a 25 yr. pin and Scouter’s Key for being an active Scout Master with Boy Scouts of America, Troop 100 (former Slater Rd School) and Troop 16, Smalley School, and was a member of the Order of the Arrow. He served with the CT National Guard 169th Infantry in Germany. He attended local schools and was a member of St. Ann Church.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Anna (Fabretti) Haught, a son, Robert Haught Jr. (Barbara) of Kensington; a daughter, Cheryl Spataro (Edward) of Wolcott; grandchildren, David, Anthony and Denise Haught, Tanya Reed and Paul Spataro; and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Bearl Haught and 4 sisters; Margaret Perkins, Louise Chasse, June Tome and Ruth Pierce and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers; Frank and James Haught and a sister, Mary DiMugno.
A time of visitation will be held Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 10-11AM at New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain followed by a Prayer Service at 11:00AM. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
