Salvatore "Sal" Russo

Salvatore (Sal) Russo, 60, of New Britain, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at New Britain General Hospital. He was the son of the late Giuseppe and Concetta (Pavano) Russo. Sal was born in Floridia, Italy and immigrated to the United States in November of 1954.

Sal was employed at the Constructive Workshops for many years and most recently was employed by Commercial Foundry.

Sal was a beloved son and brother. He leaves behind his sister, Anna M. Russo, his aunt and uncle, Mary and Antonio Russo, his cousin Anthony with his wife Debra and their daughter, Lauren and her husband Ian Swank. He also leaves cousins and their families in Italy.

Along with his parents, numerous aunts and uncles in Italy predeceased Sal.

Family and Friends may pay their respects on Sunday, Dec. 19th, 2010 from 2-5pm at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain. Sal’s Services will begin on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 9:00am at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by the Funeral Liturgy at 10:00am in St. Ann Church on North St., New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Stanley St., New Britain. Memorial donations may be made to St. Ann Church, 47 Clark St., New Britain, CT 06051.
