

Stanley E. Jordon, 89, of Willington and formerly of New Britain, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. He was born in Bezmiechowa, Poland on September 6, 1924. He was widower of Zenobia (Trzcionka) Jordon since 2009.
Stanley was a U.S. Army veteran, serving for a total of over eight years, fought in the Korean War, and was honorably discharged with a rank of Sergeant. He retired from Pratt and Whitney’s Machine Tool Division.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved the outdoors, where he found joy in his vegetable gardens and flower beds.
He will be remembered for his limitless kindness and warm smile. He was devoted to his wife and lovingly cared for her until the time of her passing. Stanley was a man of great faith, rarely missing a Sunday mass or day of devotion.
Stanley is survived and will be missed by his granddaughter, Diane Kane and her husband Michael, with whom he made his home in Willington, a step-son, Lester Makowski and his wife Pat of Southington, a step-daughter, Barbara Drezek of Southington, several brothers and sisters, additional grandchildren: Jason and Heather, his great grandchildren: Christian, Catrina, Matthew and Lillian, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited on Saturday, August 15, 2014 for a time of visitation from 10-11am at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by a Prayer Service at 11am. Burial with military honors will immediately follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 650 Burritt Street, New Britain, CT.
