Vera Louise Marchesi

She was born in New Britain on September 24, 1918 and was daughter to the late Giocomo and Rose (Cevasco) Marchesi. She attended local schools and had worked at Landers, Frary & Clark and later retired from AH Harris & Sons, Inc. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Ann Church. Vera was a devoted aunt and light hearted woman. She had a loving, gentle nature, enjoyed her time spent in her garden, with her family and was an avid UConn Girls Basketball and Red Sox fan.

She is survived and will be dearly missed by her nieces; Linda Demarest of Glastonbury, Cora Neumann and her husband Ted of Bristol, two grandnephews: James Demarest and his wife Rebecca and Eric Neumann and great grandniece: Leah Demarest.

Vera was also predeceased by her siblings: Olga, Joseph and James Marchesi.

A time of visitation will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 8:30-9:30am at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by the funeral liturgy at 10:00am in St. Ann Church. Entombment will be in St. Mary Garden Mausoleum.
