

Wayne F. Hosking, MD, 73, of Avon, died Monday November 1, 2010 at the Bradley Memorial Hospital. He was born in Midland, Ontario, Canada a son of the late Frederick and Edna (Pearen) Hosking. Wayne is a decorated Veteran of the Vietnam War having served with the 18th Surgical Unit in Pleiku. He was an Anesthesiologist at the Hartford Hospital for 40 years, retiring in 2002 having served on the Board of Hartford Hospital and Hartford Anesthesiology Associates. He was an active member of the Asylum Hill Congregational Church. Wayne is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Georgi (Murray) Hosking, his loving sons, Wayne F. Hosking Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Vienna, VA and James M. Hosking and his wife Jennifer of Hudson, NH, his loving daughters Kathleen A. Kautz and her husband Gregory of Merrimack, NH and Susan E. Maritan and her husband James of Medfield, MA, his loving sister Sheila Hosking of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada and his loving brother Bruce Hosking and his wife Carol of Grimsby, Ontario, Canada and twelve treasured grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday November 5, 2010 at 11AM at the Asylum Hill Congregational Church, 814 Asylum Avenue, Hartford. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4-7PM at the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue, New Britain.
