Born in Puerto Rico, Al peacefully passed away at home with his loving wife of 69 years by his side.
He is survived by four adult children, two sisters, six in-laws, seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, eight nieces, nephews, and God-children.
Al was a hard-working loyal member of Teamster Union Local 27. After retiring as a Teamster, he worked at Sears in Nanuet for 10 years making many long lasting friendships with coworkers and customers.
Al deeply loved his wife and family. He enjoyed Latin music and was an excellent Salsa dancer.
Al enthusiastically documented decades of family events using his creative videotaping talents.
He was a good neighbor always helping others in need.
Al was part of the team of volunteers who cleared and built the North Rockland Soccer Field in Thiells, NY.
Visitation will be held Thursday April 9, between 4pm and 8pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, 321 South Main Street, New City, NY 10956.
On Friday April 10, at 10 am there will be a Roman Catholic Mass at
Saint Ann’s Church, 16 Jefferson Street, Nyack, NY 10960
