Andrea Lafleur

Andrea Lafleur of Rockland, NY, 93 years old, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday August 22, 2025. Andrea is survived by her four children Margaret Lafleur, Anaika Cadet & husband Kerns Dieudonne, Franklin & wife Edline Cadet, and Immacula Cadet.She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, Evens, Wilkens & wife Courtney, James & Wife Farah, Rachel, Sendy, Melissa, David, Sarah and Manaika. Her 9 great grandchildren Jaiden, Quamyr, Evenson, Tayshaun, Janus, Joshua, Kyrie, and Eva. Andrea is also survived by many nieces & nephews (Marie Carmel, Judith, Robinson, Alrich, Jimmy, Lionel & Eugene.

Andrea was predeceased in death by her two oldest loving sons John and Frantz Lafleur, her parents Idamante & Joseph Lafleur, siblings Daloz, Janeta, Aristomene, Noufi Lafleur and niece Immacula Lafleur.

Andrea was born in Jacmel, Haiti, to Idamante & Joseph Lafleur on April 25, 1932. Andrea was a hairdresser in Port au- Prince Haiti for several years before she migrated into the United States in 1988. Andrea enjoyed cooking and baking,teaching her family how to make recipes, especially sweets. She cherished time spent with family especially with her grandchildren & great- grandchildren who all made her laugh and taught them words of wisdom. Andrea enjoyed good food, especially her bread and coffee,black bean sauce, fish, & sweet potato bread, laughing, and dancing to bachata.

Whether you knew her as Andrea, Grandma, Gran, Andou,ShouShou, Granmoun lan, she was loving, passionate, resilient, strong and determined. She was always laughing and telling jokes. Her contagious energy will definitely be missed and carried by her loved ones.

A viewing will be held on Friday September 5th 2025 at 4pm-8pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY 10956. Following Funeral Mass on September 6th 2025 at 10am at St. Joseph Church in Spring Valley NY, 10977. Followed by a burial in Ascension Cemetery 650 Saddle River Rd, Airmont NY 10952.
