Anthony Costa

His wife Concettina, “Connie” coincidentally predeceased him on the same date in 1999. They will be together again in heaven.

Anthony was born in Messina, Sicily immigrating to the United States at the age of five along with his parents and sibling and was educated in the New York City school system. He worked very hard throughout his life sometimes maintaining multiple jobs to provide for his family and obtain the “American Dream”. “Tony” as his friends and family called him, lived a simple and quiet life, loved his family and God’s creatures.

Survivors include his two Daughters, Joann Battestin and her husband John along with their two children Thomas and Christina residing in Congers, New York and Rosemarie Gorelick and her husband Barry along with their adult offspring Daniel and Brian currently residing in Orange County, New York.

Visitation is to be held on Tuesday, May 23rd 2017 from 7pm to 9pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service, 113 Lake Road East, Congers, NY, 10920. There will be a funeral Mass at St. Paul’s Church, 82 Lake Road West, Congers, NY 10920, at 11:15am on Wednesday, May 24th interment immediately to follow at Ascension Cemetery, 650 Saddle River Road, Monsey, New York 10952.
