On Saturday October 17,2020, Anthony Olivieri, loving dad, died and went to heaven at the age of 87. Anthony was born on August 23,1933 Bronx NY to Rosario & Rose Olivieri, devoted parents. On June 16, 1957 he fell in love and married Frances Oliveri. Frances was called to heaven on November 26,2019. He is survived by his children Rosemarie Carbone (daughter) Edward A. Carbone (son in law) Anthony Olivieri (son) Heather Tannehill ( daughter-in-law) Tina Marie Oswald (niece). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his nephew Rosario Olivieri; and three brothers, Salvatore, John and Albert.
Anthony J. Olivieri was in the U.S. Navy , served in the Korean War. Anthony also worked for the NYC Sanitation Department for 20 years. Anthony was a loving and caring husband, dad,grandpa, great grandpa, uncle, cousin, brother in law and father in law, Camille Olivieri is his surviving sister in law. Anthony lived a full and happy life dedicated to his family. Anthony moved his family to Rockland County in 1969 providing a better way of life for their family. He moved to Florida in May 2018. Anthony enjoyed going on Wednesday to the Senior Center in Congers NY. His favorite thing in the world was having his family over for Christmas Eve at the table, having Santa come to his house and give out presents to his family. The other joy in Anthony’s life was his dogs, Lady, Sandy and Tiger. He was a wonderful influence and inspiring man to both his family and friends. Anthony’s grandchildren presented another opportunity to share his loving and caring fatherly instincts. In return the children brought so much joy into his life. He leaves behind Michael E. Carbone (grandson) Elmeri Carbone ( wife) Edward A. Carbone ( grandson) Jessika Carbone ( wife) Jenna F. DeGeorge ( granddaughter) Jay DeGeorge ( Husband) Christie P. Olivieri ( granddaughter) Caiden Olivieri ( grandson) Great Grandchildren Olivia Rose Carbone Vanessa Janel Carbone.
Services will be held Monday October 26, 2020 at Higgins Funeral Home in New City NY 10956. Viewing will be 3-7 pm. You must wear a mask. Mass will be held on Tuesday October 27, 2020, 10 am at St Paul’s Church, burial to follow at Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
