Barbara was a homemaker, caring for and working tirelessly for her nine children. She will always be remembered for her vast knowledge and appreciation for healthy nutrition and remains famous for embracing organic foods, well before they became mainstream. She never allowed a price tag to influence healthy choices for the health and well-being of her children. She embraced both Filipino cooking as well as Slovac recipes passed down from her mother. Among many others, her oatmeal, wheat germ, walnut, date, raisin briquette cookies will forever remain in family tradition.
Barbara was the very proud grandmother of 31 grandchildren whom she loved individually and uniquely. She was once co-leader of the local chapter of The LaLeche League and continually remained a staunch supporter. She enjoyed reading, praying, ballroom dancing, decorating, shopping, spending time with her family and was a devout Catholic. She, along with her husband Dr. Cesar M.
