Barbara T. Carbone

Barbara Carbone of New City, NY passed away peacefully at Westchester Medical Center surrounded by her loving family on September 7, 2024. She was 91 years old. Barbara was born on June 26,1933 in the Bronx, New York to the late Anthony and Pauline Ardisson. She was a graduate of Columbus High School in the Bronx. She worked as a personal secretary for the President of the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA), Sinclair Oil, the American Heart Association and retired in 1999 as assistant to the Commissioner of Social Services of Rockland County, NY.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Sebastian Carbone and brother Dennis Ardisson. She is survived by her son Stephen Carbone (Meredith) and her daughter Susan Carbone Wilson (Craig). She is also survived by her loving granddaughters Kaitlyn and Corinne Wilson, her brothers Anthony Ardisson (Kathy), Richard Ardisson (Cathy), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will receive visitors on Friday, September 13th from 2-4pm and from 6-8pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 14th at 10am, at St. Augustine’s Church, New City, followed by interment at Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spring Valley, NY.

We will always carry our dear mother’s memory in our hearts as she was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, family member and friend who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance.
