A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many!
On Wednesday, September 15, 2021, Bridget Mary Tyler passed away peacefully at the age of 75.
Bridget was born on December 16, 1945, in Harlem, New York to her loving parents Elizabeth and
Peter Morgan. She graduated St. Anthony’s Prep and married the love of her life, Bill, on
February 23, 1969, at Corpus Christi church.
Bridget and Bill resided in Manhattan prior to settling in Nanuet for 20+ years where they raised
their three children. Although a tried-and-true New Yorker in her heart, Bridget along with her
husband retired to Matamoras PA for the past 16-years.
Bridget had a petite frame yet a large than life personality. The gift of gab from her Irish heritage
served her well in the food service industry — bringing smiles to so many at Pearl River’s 7-11!
While she was proud of her descent, she was a true patriot, she loved being an American and she was
an avid Giants fan. She also loved “her numbers” (aka the lottery), enjoyed her word search puzzles
and she liked to draw animals. She was the 500 Rummy champion in the Tyler household for years
on end; and she had a passion for animals especially her dogs. However, her greatest joys came from
her family.
Bridget was a loving and dedicated wife to Bill for 52 years. And as a loving mom, Bridget always
wanted the best for her children and stressed the importance of a good education. She was the type
of mom that you could tell her anything and everything. She would always help you find your way
forward!
When she was blessed with her first grand-child, Julianna, she became known lovingly as Grammy!
Bridget showered her with love and affection. Her love knew no bounds with this little one!
Bridget is survived by her husband William (Bill); her son Timothy, her daughters Jennifer and Teresa
along with her daughter-in-law Jodi (Tim) Tyler, and her son-in-law Jesse (Jennifer) Bravo along with
her granddaughter Julianna Bravo; and her step-grandson Jamil Bravo.
She is also survived by her sisters Margaret Jordan, Joan Reilly, and her brothers James and John
Morgan, her sister-in-law Mary (Peter) Morgan, her cousin-in-laws Larry and Marge Lioi, Lawrence
LaGumina and Tina and Frank Servidio, in addition to many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and
great-nephews. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Bridget was preceded in death by her brother Peter Morgan and her sisters Mary Dadario, Susan
Hill, Anna Garvey.
Family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00-8:00pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City,
NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, 10:00am, at St. Anthony’s Church, Nanuet,
NY followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery, Queens, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be
made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 3 International Drive, Suite 200, Rye Brook, NY 10573
US: (888) 557-7177.
