
Brook attended St. Anthony’s school, Albertus Magnus HS and received her degree in English and Latin with honors from St. Thomas Acquinas College in Sparkill, NY. After graduation, she worked for the Head Start Program in Spring Valley and went on to teach in St. Paul’s School in Valley Cottage and St. Margaret’s in Pearl River. She was later employed by the Salvation Army, first at the officers Training School in Suffern, then working the last 15 years of her career as the Administrative Assistant for the Human Resources Department at their territorial headquarters in West Nyack.
Brook will always be remembered for her passion for all animals great and small. She loved life’s simple pleasures, nature, family and friends and will also always be remembered as a gentle soul whose kindness brought joy to many.
Brook is survived by her brother William Lenhart and his wife Susan, niece Emily, her husband Nick and two grand-nieces, nephew John and cousin Sr. Miriam Wurm. She was pre-deceased by her beloved sister Joan, who was her soul mate. In addition, Brook leaves behind several very dear friends who meant the world to her and have always been a very important part of her life.
At Brook’s request, there are no viewing hours, however a Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday Jan. 7, 2023 at 10 am at St. Peters Church in Haverstraw with internment at St Peter’s cemetery immediately following.
