Carl Patrick Soreco

Carl was born on April 17th, 1947 to Ann and Domenick Soreco in Brooklyn, NY. He was raised in the Bronx. He graduated from Christopher Columbus High School. After high school, Carl had many jobs in management.

Carl eventually joined the U.S. Marines. As a marine, Carl served his country with honor and integrity. After his military service, Carl built a career as an electrical foreman in the IBEW Local 3.

Carl was a dedicated husband to Portia, his loving wife of 56 years. He was also a devoted father to Dominic, Carl (Angela) and Cristina. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Isabella, Griffin, Andrew, Ollie, Robbie and Annie.

Carl had many hobbies. Some of his favorites were hunting, fishing, boating, golfing, collecting stamps, collecting coins, just to name a few. He was also a craftsman who designed and built many add ons to his house.

Anyone who knew Carl will remember him for his knowledge, sense of humor, generosity and willingness to lend a hand. His spirit lives on in his family and friends he so deeply touched.

A visitation is scheduled to take place at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc., located at 321 South Main Street, New City, NY 10956, on January 13, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

The funeral service will be held at St. Francis of Assisi's Church, 128 Parrott Rd, West Nyack, NY 10994, on January 14, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am.

Entombment will follow at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, 36 W Nyack Rd, Nanuet, NY 10954, on January 14, 2026, from 11:15 am to 11:45 am.
